The Children’s Alliance offers training and learning opportunities for kinship and foster parents, family well-being professionals and partners.

Together with our partners in Kansas, we offer live in-person courses, virtual classroom courses and self-paced online courses.

  • First Aid

    First Aid classes build skills to effectively provide basic first aid. Learn about common hazards, injuries, and illnesses that may require basic first aid.

  • First Aid/CPR/AED

    First Aid/CPR/AED certification classes can help you provide assistance when someone is faced with an emergency. First Aid/CPR/AED courses offered through the Alliance meet DCF foster parent licensure requirements.

  • ACEs

    Learn the basics of the Adverse Childhood Experiences study and long-term mental and physical health impacts of childhood traumatic experiences.

  • TBRI®

    Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) courses train caregivers in an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention designed to meet the complex needs of children from hard places.

  • Trauma 101

    Multiple courses are available to provide caregivers and professionals with the basics of trauma-informed care, types of childhood trauma and how childhood trauma can manifest in behaviors and responses.
