Foster Care/Adoption

While the goal is always to maintain a child in a safe and stable family home, sometimes children must be removed from their families. Child welfare agencies in Kansas provide a range of services for these youth and their families ranging from kinship placements through psychiatric residential treatment facilities. The Children”s Alliance works with the Legislature and the Executive branch of government to ensure that quality services are available. We are proud that the foster care system in Kansas consistently scores in the top tier nationally on federal reviews.
